First Day of School!

Evan had his first day of preschool last week. He was SO excited to finally be able to go to school. (He has been asking to go for months now!) He is enjoying preschool and likes to show off his projects when he gets home each night. Carl and I are happy that he is enjoying school so much and we hope that the school year continues to go well for Evan and his classmates.

Daddy and Evan are excited about the first day of preschool!

Evan enjoyed getting his picture taken with his new school bag and his new preschool shirt.

Evan was THRILLED to finally be on the way to preschool!

Carl's Birthday

We were fortunate to get to celebrate Carl's birthday for several days this year. We began the birthday celebration on Carl's birthday by going out to dinner at Captain's Quarters with some wonderful friends and family. The next day we celebrated Carl's birthday with his family at Selena's. We ended the celebration of Carl's birthday with a dual celebration of his birthday and my dad's birthday at Los Aztecas. After dinner, we came back to our house to let all of the kids play and enjoy an ice cream cake.

Our night at Captain's Quarters was fun, even though we had to eat inside becuae of the rain. We were happy to celebrate with our friends and family.

We were happy that Travis and Ashley could come out for the celebration!

Teddy and Rachel helped to make the birthday celebration a lot of fun!

Carl's friend Maurio was able to come out to celebrate.

Terri, Luke, and John were able to join us for dinner.

Carl's buddy Ron came out to help Carl celebrate his birthday!

I was happy to help Carl celebrate his 31st birthday!

Dinner at Selena's was declious, but Evan was too busy watching the fish to eat.

We had fun with Carl's family.

We tried to take a good family picture, but Evan was NOT in the mood to have his picture taken!

Evan LOVED seeing the trains. All of the engineers waved to Evan and one engineer even blew the whistle for Evan!

Evan and Caleb happily helped Granddaddy open his presents.

All of the boys had fun playing outside.

Emily had fun petting Reece.

A cake for a 63 year old and a 31 year old!

Evan loves his Granddaddy!

Caleb and Evan helped Carl blow out the candles. (Where was Granddaddy?!?)

All of the boys had fun playing the instruments!

Visiting the Science Center with The Nickels

Last week we invited Aunt Heather, Jackson, Caleb, and Emily to go to The Louisville Science Center with us. We were so excited that they were able to go! All of the kids had a great time in the new Elmo exhibit, as well as visiting Kid Zone.

Evan had fun ringing ALL of the doorbells on Sesame Street!

Caleb and Evan enjoyed making 3D handprints with the pin impression toys.

All of the boys enjoyed the exhibit on moving your body! It was fun to jump, kick, and pedal!

Evan had fun in the obstacle course.

"Hey! It's Dorothy!"

Evan enjoyed choosing healthy foods at the grocery store.

"What can I get for you boys?"

"This food is yummy!"

Everyone liked learning to wash their hands to stay healthy.

As always, the blocks were lots of fun for Evan.

Aunt Heather and Evan had fun playing with the dinosaurs.

Emily had fun at the science center too!

The water table was a HUGE hit with all three of the boys.

Jackson liked using the computer to learn about animals.
