Reece

Our dog, Reece, passed away today. Although he was young, he had congestive heart failure. His heart simply gave out today.

Reece was a little scoundrel and often got into mischief, but that did not keep us from thinking that he was a wonderful dog and a great companion. We loved him very much and he will be GREATLY missed!

This is one of our first "family" pictures.



Reece was not a fan of the camera, but he sat still long enough for Carl to take this picture.



Reece and Evan were good buddies.



Reece was not hapy about having his picture taken, but he managed to sit still for awhile while I snapped this picture.



Reece had a blast in the snow this year, even though he was not feeling well.





Dear Reece,

Though you tended to run away, bark at everything, chase Kaiya everywhere, open closed doors, and even "nipped" a few people during your time with us, we will always love you. You were our first baby and you will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Wherever you are, we hope you're happy running around to your heart's content. We'll miss you Reece.

The Train Show 2011

The Train Show was in Louisville again last weekend. Since Evan had so much fun at the show last year, we decided to go back again this year. We met up with The Nickels while we were there. Evan had fun looking at all of the trains with Jackson and Caleb. He also enjoyed riding on a small toy train!

Evan sat on Daddy's shoulders to get a good look at the trains.



Evan, Jackson, Caleb and Josh got a good look at the trains that ran on the floor.



Evan and Caleb decided to relax a bit and watch the trains.



Evan wanted a VERY close look at the trains!



Evan had fun riding the toy train with Caleb. He had a smile on his face the whole time he was riding!



The train table was a hit, even though Evan has his own here at home!

Pink Night at U of L

Last Tuesday the U of L Lady Cardinals hosted Pink Night. There was a lot of information about breast cancer detection and treatment. Breast cancer survivors were honored during half time and were able to walk across the court at the new KFC YUM! Center. It was a really fun night, even though we didn't get to stay for the whole game. (Evan has a short attention span!)

Evan proudly wore his pink shirt to the game.



While I got ready for half time, Evan had fun riding up and down the big escalators.



Evan and Daddy had fun playing the virtual fishing game on the way home.



We didn't get any pictures of me at the game, but I was filmed and shown (briefly) on the news that night. I hope to capture a picture from the video to post on the blog.
