HCCC Swim and Dive Team - Summer 2015

Evan was on the swim and dive team for Hunting Creek Country Club for the third time and it was his best season yet! He had lots of fun with his friends and he did some great swimming and diving. He is even thinking of doing swim and/or dive in the off season. Whatever he decides, we are very proud of Evan. He worked hard this season and he made a lot of progress!

I worked the swim portion of this meet, so I was there if Evan needed me, but I was not able to be with him all the time. He was quite independent and got ready all by himself, which is why his cap is on sideways. It is ADORABLE! A parent took this picture and sent it to me. I love it!

Evan's second swim and dive meet was lots of fun. He placed first in his division for diving, got second place in his individual race, and won third place in his relay race!

Evan and his buddy, Jackson, are great friends. They were on the same relay team for meet number two. Jackson won his first ribbon and he was so excited!

The third meet of the season went really well. Evan placed second in diving for his division, as well as earning second place in both of his relay races and second in his individual race. Wow! He had a really great time and we were extra happy that Bonnie Mom and Daddy were able to join us for part of the meet!

Our final regular season meet was at Hunting Creek and both Carl and I were able to attend all of the events. Granddaddy and Grammy also got to attend and Preston attended the dive session! Evan was pretty happy to have so many people there to support him and cheer for him!

Although Evan was unable to complete his final dive of the meet, a forward summersault, his scores were so good from his first two dives, a front dive and a back dive, that he had enough points to place third in his age group! He also placed second in a relay race and in his individual race.

Evan did very well in the city meet for diving and placed 8th place in his division! Sadly, he was not able to qualify for the swimming championships. He did not mind though! He had a great time during the city meet qualification day and he had a great swim and dive season.
