This spring break was a bit strange, as Evan decided to join Grandpa, Bonnie Mom, Aunt Rachel, and his cousins in Key West. I wasn't shocked that he wanted to go to Key West, as he is obsessed with fishing and loves the town. Although the house in Key West was going to be quite full, he convinced everyone that there was indeed room for him. He had a great time fishing with friends, but also enjoyed spending time with family. We missed him so much, but were so glad he had fun!
Carl. Preston, and I went to Las Vegas for spring break. We did some cool things like see shows and play games at Top Golf, but also spent time at Red Rock Canyon and the Grand Canyon.
We discovered a Stranger Things store, which Preston loved. It is one of his favorite shows.
Our hotel had an arcade called The Fun Dungeon, but Preston insisted on calling it the "Fungeon". He requested time there every day. He got some cool prizes with all of his winnings.
We visited the Hard Rock cafe twice. They offered an excellent brunch and Preston enjoyed seeing some cool memorabilia. He also had fun in the gift shop.
We enjoyed the fountain shows at The Bellagio.
Preston discovered Las Vegas has one of his favorite candy stores. We had to stop and get some of his favorite candy.
The observation wheel was such a fun experience! We could see lots of Las Vegas and the surrounding mountains.
The botanical gardens were beautiful. It was super crowded when we visited, but I did enjoy the time we spent there.
We were able to see three different shows. Tournament of Kings, Michael Jackson ONE Cirque de Soleil, and Shin Lim: Limitless. They were all entertaining, but our absolute favorite show was Michael Jackson ONE. It was incredible!
Preston loved the aquarium. I am not surprised, as he asks to visit any aquarium we see!
The famous Tropicana Hotel and Casino. It was closing the week we visited.
Top Golf was lots of fun! Preston has requested a visit to the Louisville location for his upcoming birthday.
The Coca-Cola Store was suer fun, because we tried sodas from different countries. There were some really good ones, but some tasted awful! The worst one tasted like a soda form of beef jerky. Yuck!
Preston has his own snake, but he really enjoyed holding this super cool snake!
Our favorite parts of the trip were going to Red Rock Canyon and the Grand Canyon. Red Rock Canyon was cool, because it wasn't crowded where we went and we were able to hike and explore. The Grand Canyon was pretty amazing too. The coolest part was taking a helicopter to the bottom!
Red Rock Canyon
The Hoover Dam and The Grand Canyon
We ended our spring break together! We traveled with friends and family to Columbus, IN, where we were able to experience totality for over three minutes. It was incredible!
