Evan the Builder
Evan loves building towers. He will build a tower with just about anything, including cans of soup and rolls of toilet paper! While playing the other day, he built his tallest tower yet. It was bigger than him! Perhaps he will grow up to be an architect!

Kentucky State Fair
We took Evan to The Kentucky State Fair last weekend and he absolutely loved it. Carl and I had a lot of fun watching Evan have such a good time. We are already looking forward to going again next year!
Evan liked climbing in the different vehicles on display. He got to "drive" a military Jeep and a TARC bus!

Evan LOVED this dinosaur! Of course, that was no surprise, because he LOVES dinosaurs!

Evan was too little for many of the rides, but he loved the carousel and the giant slide.

Evan liked playing the fishing game. He won a cool new horn and a ball!

Susan G.Komen Night at Louisville Bats Game
Last week, my Young Survivors group attended the Susan G. Komen Night at the Louisville Bats game. I had a great time seeing my friends and I was happy to go out and support Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Evan had fun watching the baseball game for awhile, but we ended up spending a lot of time at the carousel and the playground!
Evan liked watching the baseball game this year. Last year he fell asleep!

Weekend in Nashville
We recently got together with some good friends and their kids in Nashville. We had so much fun watching the kids play together and it was nice to have adult time in the evening too. We are already looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!
We tried to take a group picture of the moms and kids. Here are all three pictures. It was much more difficult to get a group picture now that we have kids! We forgot to take a picture of all the dads. Oops!

Happy 30th Birthday Carl!
On July 28th Carl celebrated his 30th birthday. He now jokes that he is old, but I keep reminding him to be thankful for his "old age." On his actual birthday, we celebrated by having dinner with his family.
Carl and I enjoyed time with our family.

Rachel and Teddy.

Evan had a great time playing and dancing at the celebration.

Carl with his mom and dad.

Later that week, we celebrated Carl's birthday with some of our good friends at Captain's Quarters.
Carl and I posed for a picture at Captain's Quarters. (It looks like Carl and I are trying to show off "our boat!")

Our friends Ashley and Travis.

Carl with his buddies Ron, Travis, and John.

We celebrated Carl's birthday one final time with my family on Sunday. We also celebrated my dad's birthday too! We all had dinner together and then came back to our house to let all three little boys play in the backyard.
Carl with his new toolbox.

This is my dad with the only present he asked for. Can you tell what it is? A map! He is so funny!

Jackson and Evan had fun in the pool.

Caleb loved pushing the scooter around. He was SO fast that it was hard to take his picture!

Evan enjoyed pushing Jackson on his little bike.

Caleb got VERY dirty in the sandbox. (I think Evan may have helped him get that dirty!)
