Our trip to Key West at Thanksgiving was lots of fun. We all enjoyed extra family time and spending lots of time with Grandpa and Bonnie Mom. It was a great trip and we all had a really great time.
Both boys did great on the trip to Key West! Evan watched movies and Preston slept almost the whole time on both plane rides. When he was not sleeping, he ate and happily played! (I was SO nervous before the trip. Preston had been teething and was not always in a very happy mood. I was SO thankful he felt good and was such a good traveler!)
Preston enjoyed swinging in a big swing at the park. (It was his first time in a big swing and he loved it!)
Evan had fun chasing the sea gulls. (Will he EVER outgrow this?!?)
Evan was SO happy to finally be in Key West!
Preston liked the beach. The water was a bit too cold, but he liked playing in the sand! (He ate some sand too!)
Evan had lots of fun swimming at Casa Marina!
Preston liked splashing in the water at the pool. (He also liked being in the water with Daddy!)
Bonnie Mom took Evan and Preston on a walk and Carl and I went to dinner. We had a lovely dinner at The Cafe!
"Southernmost Stroller" (We took Preston to The Southernmost Point for the fist time. He was not too interested though, since he was asleep!)
Evan found a cool caterpillar! (It was covered in fire ants, so we took them off and saved our little friend.)
Evan posed for a silly picture on our walk!
Preston enjoyed walking through Key West. (He is such a happy boy!)
Evan was SO happy to FINALLY go to The Key West Toy Factory! (He has been asking to go there for MONTHS!)
We took a walk on White Street Pier. The sunset was beautiful and Evan liked seeing a ray jump out of the water and seeing a sea slug for the very first time!
Preston liked seeing his first sunset at the beach!
Grandpa took Evan to look in the tide pools. They had lots of fun and even found a scary severed hand! (Thankfully, it was fake! Maybe it was left from Halloween?)
Preston was excited to go to the beach again!
I love this sweet beach baby!
Evan had fun snorkeling, even though it was cold. He and Daddy found a sea cucumber!
My guys all enjoyed walking along the pier and seeing the sunset.
Here are a few pictures of Key West from one of our walks on the pier. We just LOVE Key West. There is always something fun to do and we love how beautiful it is!
Grandpa and Bonnie Mom took us on a Captain Alex's boat. Evan LOVED it! We saw several dolphins and got to eat a delicious picnic lunch on an island!
Preston fell asleep on the boat. I think he liked the way the boat rocked!
Evan enjoyed playing on the island. He found lots of treasures including shells, sponges, and an old lobster trap!
Evan liked getting to help Captain Alex get the boat closer to the shore. He was a BIG helper!
Light Up Key West was lots of fun! We loved the lights and the Christmas music. Key West is just so much fun!
Higgs Beach is one of our favorite beaches. Evan had so much fun playing in the ocean and building sand castles!
Preston looked so cool in his shades!
Evan was all smiles at the beach!
I love my boys!
We saw Santa at the beach! (We guess he is relaxing a bit before his big day in a few weeks.) Evan was really excited to see Santa. He went right over to him and talked to him and gave him a BIG hug!
Our last night in Key West we saw another beautiful sunset. We enjoyed walking on the pier and eating a wonderful Thanksgiving meal as well! (It was Preston's first Thanksgiving and he turned 7 months old!)

Tennessee Trip Fall 2012
Last weekend we went to visit Grandma, Aunt Karol and Uncle Larry in Tennessee. As always, we had a really good time. When we arrived, Evan announced, "Grandma! We're here!" He then ran over and gave her a HUGE hug! It was adorable! We visited for awhile, but it was late, so we went to bed after visiting for a bit.
The next morning we all had breakfast and then Evan went out to look for "baby kittens." He found a new litter and he was overjoyed that the mother cat let him hold both babies. Later, Marlee came over to visit Evan. The boys had lots of fun playing together. We all got to walk to feed the horse while Marlee visited, which was lots of fun for everyone.
On Saturday morning, we all did Evan's favorite thing to do in Tennessee, which is going to yard sales. We hit the jackpot when we went to a yard sale that had tons of Star Wars stuff! Evan was SO happy! He got to choose several items and he was THRILLED!
We had lots of fun on our visit. It is always nice to see our extended family. We hope to go back for another visit late this winter or early spring. Maybe we will even get to take the boys on a hike in The Smokey Mountains!
Evan was super excited to find the baby kittens!
Marlee and Evan had so much fun playing together. Those two really enjoy each others company!
Preston enjoyed seeing Grandma and she really liked seeing him too!
Evan had lots of fun seeing Grandma. She adores him and he loves to see her!

Fall Fun 2012
We have had so much fun this fall! We went to our neighborhood Halloween party, painted pumpkins, went hiking in the woods, carved pumpkins, went trick or treating, went to the fall festival at church, went to a Halloween party at The Sadowksi's house and saw the decorations on Hillcrest Avenue, had a party at preschool, and ended our soccer season successfully! We really had a great time together and now we are looking forward to a trip to see Grandma and Karol, as well as a trip to Key West for Thanksgiving!
Evan worked hard to decorate his pumpkin at our neighborhood Halloween party. He was determined to do a good job!
Evan's spooky spider pumpkin looked great when it was finished!
Evan looked super scary as he walked in the costume parade!
Preston enjoyed the party, but his favorite part was playing with Evan!
Evan was ready to start the game!
These pictures are so cute! Evan and his friends really enjoyed playing soccer together! Go Team United!
Hot chocolate was PERFECT after playing soccer in the cold!
Grandpa and Bonnie Mom enjoyed watching Evan play soccer. (Grammy and Granddaddy came to all the games, but I did not get a picture of them with Evan.)
Caleb and Evan LOVED being teammates!
Preston was such a trooper! We took him to each game and he was always so content, even if it was cold and loud. He seemed to squeeze in a nap at most of the games!
The fall festival at church was a lot of fun! Evan got his face painted for the first time! (He also ate pizza and played lots of games, but he was too busy to have his picture taken during those activities!)
Evan LOVED carving pumpkins this year. (He carved at least three different ones!)
He LOVED his jack-o-lanterns! (I think this picture is so cute!)
I love this picture of Preston in his Halloween shirt! (Evan had a matching one, but he had his costume on all day and I did not get a picture of him wearing his Halloween shirt.)
Carl made us a jack-o-lantern pizza for dinner on Halloween!
Once again, Carl made a great pumpkin!
I loved getting to go trick or treating with my boys!
Evan liked all of his candy! (He still isn't too crazy on trick or treating. We took turns taking him out, but he did not want to visit too many houses.)
Surprise! The peanut butter cup looked like a jack-o-lantern!
Evan was so glad that Grammy and Granddaddy came to see him on Halloween! (They brought some great treats!)
