The month of October was very busy! We went fishing almost every weekend and took several hikes in the woods by our house. Preston went on his first field trip, which was SO cute! We went to the pumpkin patch with his entire preschool, which was a great way to have fun and meet the other preschool families and teachers. Evan had Doughnuts with Dad at his school and both he and Carl had lots of fun. We went to the zoo's annual Halloween party and we even had our own fall festival, when bad storms made the neighborhood festival an impossibility. Both Evan and Preston had fall/Halloween parties at school and I was lucky to get to attend both of them. We had lots of fun at Halloween, as we carved pumpkins, trick-or-treated and enjoyed dinner with Grammy and Granddaddy. Carl and I were able attend some U of L football games and Evan and Daddy got to go to a U of L basketball game! It was a really busy and fun time. Next up? Thanksgiving in Key West! We can't wait!
As in the autumn season before, Preston LOVED his pumpkins. SO cute!
The Halloween party at the zoo was lots of fun! Our Splatoon Inklings had a ball and looked great!
Preston still loves characters, so he got his picture taken with everyone! I just picked a couple of my favorites. Evan does not care for characters. =)
Caroline loved Ariel and Eric!
I loved Alex's lobster costume and his cute smile!
The grown ups had fun too!
Go Cards!
We had severe storms on the night of our neighborhood Halloween party, so it was cancelled. We made our festival fun! We decorated pumpkins, made scary touchy/feely experiences, and had a candy hunt in the dark with flashlights! It was a blast!
Prospect was beautiful in the fall! We had fun hiking and fishing!
Preston did SO well at his Halloween program and party! There were NO tears and he had a ball!
Itsy Bitsy Spider!
Scary Witch Song
Super Mario
Grammy and Granddaddy had lots of fun too!
Evan had a fall party and was able to to dress up as a story book character. He dressed up as a pirate from one of his favorite books, Pirates Love Underpants!
Pumpkin carving was lots of fun!
My little pumpkin was SO ready for Halloween!
Halloween Night/Trick or Treat
This was our favorite jack-o-lantern this year! Thanks, Daddy!
So, our blog would not be complete without the potted meat memory! =) Evan was gracious when he received his treat, but YUCK!
We enjoyed having Grammy and Granddaddy over to celebrate Halloween!
Evan and Daddy got to attend a U of L basketball game!
MORE hiking!
Preston thinks EVERYTHING is a balance beam! =)
We told Evan he would likely not catch crayfish. He proved us wrong by catching two crayfish!
My sweet boys!
