One thing that was VERY different about decorating for Christmas this year, was that Evan and I put up the tree, lights, ribbons, and beads. Carl usually helps me with that, but he was really sick and the boys REALLY wanted to get the tree up, so we would be ready for Christmas. Evan was a pretty good helper and I was grateful that he wanted to help me. We did wait to put the ornaments on the tree until Carl was well, since that is the most fun part!
Preston was able to help this year! Of course, he attention span was short, but he sure was happy to help!
Evan is such a good helper! I think he likes Christmas decorating about as much as me!
We got all the kids on the sled for a picture! It was a miracle!
We had lots of fun making our gingerbread house. We let the kids design it on their own and they did most of it all by themselves. They had a ball and they ate LOTS of candy!
We had brunch with Santa! Both boys had a great time, although they barely ate anything except for some bread and candy canes! I think making cookies and seeing Santa were definitely the most fun parts for the boys!
We went to Lights Under Louisville, which has become an annual tradition. Both boys really enjoyed the lights and the music and Carl and I had a really good time too!
It is REALLY hard to take pictures in the dark and while moving, but these show the pretty lights and the excited boys!
Preston's Christmas program was lots of fun! He was REALLY into the singing and had lots of cool moves! He also liked the party afterward, with cookies, Santa and games!
I thought that it would be fun for the kids to make salt dough ornaments, but only Evan thought that it was fun. Evan enjoyed playing with the dough, cutting out the ornaments with cookie cutters and painting the ornaments. Preston preferred playing with toys, watching his shows and playing video games instead. Oh well!
We spent an evening looking at Christmas lights and stopping by DQ for ice cream treats. We all had fun and the boys looked adorable in their Christmas pajamas and Star Wars hats!
Cookie making was fun for everyone! Both boys enjoyed making cookies and decorating them. The cookies were cute and super yummy too!
We spent Christmas Eve Day at Chuck E. Cheese's. We have done this several times and it is always lots of fun and all three of the boys really enjoy the rides and games. We also attended church in the afternoon and then celebrated Christmas here at our house with Bonnie Mom, Grandpa, Aunt Rachel, Uncle Teddy, Caroline, and Alex.
Although Evan was REALLY excited about Christmas and woke up several times in the night, both boys slept in on Christmas morning. Evan slept until 9:10 and then we woke up Preston in order to get the present opening started! Evan and Preston loved their presents and we stayed here until the early afternoon, while they boys enjoyed their new toys.
We went over to Grammy and Granddaddy's house for presents and lunch. Aunt Heather, Uncle Josh, Jackson, Emily and Caleb were in town, so we got to celebrate with them too. The kids were wild, but we had lots of fun and once again, the boys really liked their gifts.
We spent the evening watching a movie, eating popcorn, and snuggling, which was a wonderful way to end the day.
We celebrated Christmas with the Keelings on Saturday, which was lots of fun. It is always so nice to get together with our extended family. We are ate, sang, exchanged gifts and had a great time!
We spent the rest of the Christmas Break having fun with our immediate and extended family. Some days were full of planned activities, such as the science center, House of Boom, or the zoo. Other days were full of fun, silliness, laughter, playtime, and snuggles. It was WONDERFUL!
We took Evan to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It was AWESOME! We tried to take Preston to see the movie too, but it was so crowded and there were too many movie previews. He quickly lost interest and I took him home. We hope to try again though, as I am sure he would love it too!
The cutest box trolls ever!
Preston said he looked like Santa!

House of Boom was lots of fun!
Evan and Preston enjoyed the newly renovated science center!
Preston went to Build a Bear with Bonnie Mom and Grandpa for his Christmas present! He made Toothless the Dragon and he loves it!
We got LOTS of rain over the break, but Evan did not mind one bit! He can have fun doing ANYTHING!
We went to the park, but it was SO cold, that we only stayed for about 15 minutes. Evan really enjoyed flying his plane and Preston liked playing on the playground.
We had fun cheering for U of L in the Music City Bowl.
We rang in the new year with Bonnie Mom, Grandpa, Aunt Rachel, Uncle Teddy, Caroline and Alex. Bonnie Mom brought dinner and we had lots of fun playing and doing a kids new year countdown, with poppers and noise makers!
Evan made brownies for the party. He was nice enough to include lots of extra candy in the brownies!
We have a similar picture of Evan on New Year's Eve from a few years ago! I guess everyone wants to ring in the new year as a storm trooper!
Grandpa did not participate in playing Pie Face, so Evan surprised him with some whipped cream anyway! Grandpa was a good sport!
We bundled up and went to the zoo! Evan enjoyed taking pictures and videos, while Preston had fun discovering his shadow!
We had a fun hike in the woods by our house. I love that everyone enjoys the outdoors!
Playing with Christmas toys was lots of fun! Evan had fun finding dinosaur bones and we all had fun playing Pie Face!
