Swim and Dive 2018

The boys had another wonderful summer on the HCCC swim and dive team. They worked hard all season and made it to almost every practice. They had lots of fun with their friends and had a great time celebrating a successful season and the banquet and pool party.

Preston joined the dive team this year and although he HATED the practices, he did pretty well! He got a ribbon at our first meet and even earned a medal at City Meet! He also did well in swim and earned some individual ribbons and relay ribbons during the season. He also got a medal for a relay at City Meet.

Evan excelled in diving all summer. He got first place in all of our regular meets and won third place at City Meet. There was a lot of tough competition at City Meet, so the third place medal was a really nice honor. Evan did well in swimming too. He got lots of ribbons for individual events and relay events. He did pretty well at City Meet too! He was only .04 seconds off from qualifying to swim in the individual freestyle event! We were impressed! He also earned two relay medals. He was honored at the banquet with the high point award and the coaches' award!

Go HCCC Lightning!

Bonnie Mom and Grandpa came out to see the boys dive at every meet!

We didn't get a lot of pictures of the medal ceremony. It rained and we had to move inside.

The boys loved their medals and trophies!

Fourth of July

Our Fourth of July festivities were extra fun this year! The Congleton family was able to join us for the very first time AND Carl was able to be home for 5 days!

We started off with the party at the pool. The kids loved having all of the Congleton boys to play with and Carl and John enjoyed playing lots of ping pong. There was lots of good food, the giant slide, and a DJ with lots of fun games.

We came back home to have a party here with friends and family. Grammy, Granddaddy, Uncle Ron and the Amshoffs were able to join us. We went to the parade, had dinner and had fire crackers and sparklers at the house. We then headed up to see the fireworks, which were really awesome.

In the morning, we were able to take all of the Congleton family to our waterfall, which was a big hit for everyone!

Over the next few days we spent lots of time together as a family. We went to see Incredibles 2, went to Charlestown State Park, and hung out at the pool with Bonnie Mom, Grandpa, Aunt Rachel, Uncle Teddy, Caroline and Alex. It was so nice to have so much time together!

Pool Party Fun

Evan and Preston looked so handsome!

The kids had lots of fun at our party!

The fireworks were great!

We had a great hike to the waterfall!

Charlestown State Park was fun. Preston LOVED the playground. We also did some hiking and explored the Rose Island.

I wish I had more pictures, because we had so much fun!

Summer Fun

We had been on summer break for a few weeks now and it has been lots of fun for all of us. That isn't to say that we haven't had some arguments between the kids from time to time or some trouble listening, but overall, the kids the kids have been absolutely delightful! We have spent a good deal of time at the pool. Lots of time it is for swim and dive practice, but we have spent lots of time at the pool just relaxing too. We have been to a few parks, seen a movie at the theater, had lunch with Daddy, visited to the zoo, played with friends, seen our cousins, hiked to the waterfall, etc. I am so happy that we get so much time together each summer. I just adore my sweet boys.

Our trip to the zoo was lots of fun! The animals were super cool and the boys loved the Lego creations.

The boys love our waterfall. We have been twice and hope to go again soon!

We went to the park and Evan really wanted to find a four leaf clover. I am pretty good at finding them, so we worked together and found one!

One of our favorite activities is finding crayfish. We invited the Weiss boys to join us and we caught a lot of crayfish and minnows. It was a really fun afternoon.

Our cousins came to visit! It was lots of fun to see them and we had a great time together. We played at the park, went swimming, walked the bridge, etc.

We had fun at the splash park and playground, but we took a break to catch crayfish.

Everyone loved the aquarium!

We walked the bridge, played at both playgrounds, and made stops for pizza and ice cream.

It was fun to cool off at the pool.

It is so much fun to see all the wildlife in our neighborhood and even in our backyard!
