Independence Day Weekend 2011

We spent most of the Independence Day weekend relaxing as a family. We went to the zoo, played golf, did some fireworks, and went to the pool. On Independence Day, we walked in the neighborhood parade and went to the neighborhood celebration, where Evan enjoyed The Bubble Truck, balloon animals, clowns, and several inflatables. Later in the afternoon, we headed over to the Congleton's house where we ate dinner, played outside and did a few more fireworks.

We had our own mini fireworks show in the backyard this year! (We hope that our neighborhood resumes the big fireworks show next year.)

Evan was very excited as we walked to join the parade!

We got to walk behind The Bubble Truck for part of the parade. Evan thought that that was AWESOME!

Evan enjoyed seeing the fire truck at the end of the parade. (He still LOVES fire trucks!)

Carl and Evan had fun making lots of bubbles!

Evan really liked the inflatable slide. He went down the slide about 15 times in a row!

Of course, even with all of the exciting activities, Evan still found it fun to climb on the rocks.

As always, Evan and Levi had a great time playing together. These guys are such good friends.

Best Buddies!
