From time to time, life gets so busy that I simply forget to update the blog or I just don't have the time to write. Today I realized that I have not updated the blog for over a month, despite the fact that we have done tons of fun stuff! Oops! So, tonight, I will write a little bit about what we have been up to, since the start of school.
Our week days are pretty low key, since the boys are both in school. We are pretty busy with getting to and from school, time at school, homework, projects, and the normal night time routine of bath time, reading books, etc. However, as Evan would say, our weekends have been pretty epic! We enjoyed the final few days at the pool and had a great time at the annual Labor Day pool party. We have been hiking and fishing several times. We have had fun watching U of L football games with our friends, as well as attending a couple of games too. We have gone to family fun day at Churchill Downs with Bonnie Mom, Grandpa, Aunt Rachel, Uncle Teddy, Alex and Caroline. We have taken many walks downtown to catch Pokemon and also walked across the bridge to get ice cream and play at the playground. We also had a great visit from The Congletons and we visited them too! While in Owensboro, we got to go to John's grand opening party for his office, as well as have a grown up date night. We also went to Holiday World!
I don't think I have pictures from everything that we have done, and I am sure I have forgotten some things we did. Here are a few of the highlights though! I hope to do a better job of keeping up with the blog. If not, that is okay, because that means that I have been spending time with my family and friends and having too much fun to remember to blog!
Fun at the pool!
We had fun playing at the park, walking the bridge and playing Pokemon! We also rode the Wheely Fun bikes one weekend!
We always enjoy hiking the trails near our home!
Go Cards!
The Congleton Family visited and we had a great time, despite spending a lot of time with no electricity! We had a great time fishing. Preston did not catch any fish that trip, but he did catch a toad!
We had a wonderful trip to Owensboro and we also went to Holiday World. It was Halloween time, so there was lots of Halloween activities, including trick-or-treating!
