Picture Time!

Evan's Grandpa came over for his fall photo shoot today. We actually got a few good pictures, despite the fact that Evan did not want to sit still or pose! Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

Huber's

Carl, Evan, and I joined my Young Survivor's group and their families for a fun filled day at Huber's. Evan enjoyed picking his own pumpkin, riding down the giant slide, feeding the animals, and seeing all of the tractors. Of course, Carl and I had a great time too!

Evan was happy to get to "drive" another tractor!

Riding out to the pumpkin patch.

Evan was so excited to see the pumpkins, that he kept looking at them, and not the camera!

Look! A green pumpkin!

I want this pumpkin!

Look! Pumpkins!

I LOVE pumpkins.

Evan enjoyed feeding the goats and pigs.

Halloween Party at The Louisville Zoo

We took Evan to the Halloween party at the zoo last Sunday. He had a blast! He enjoyed walking around and giving each of the characters a high 5, sliding down the giant slide, riding the carousel, and trick-or-treating. (He had his first piece of candy that night and now he is hooked!) Evan's Grandpa and Bonnie Mom went with us. I think they had about as much fun as Evan did! Of course, Carl and I had a great time too. We love Evan so much and we always enjoy our time with him.

Evan had his first piece of candy! Yum!

Evan liked the candy and was eager to go and get more in his bucket!

Evan is a big boy now!

Race for The Cure 2009

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was held in Louisville last Saturday. I had a great time with my friends and family! I want to thank everyone that donated and walked. Our team was able to raise over $2000 this year! WOW! I also want to thank my sister, Heather, who organized our team. I am so grateful for her love and support!

I am so happy that I am feeling good and that I am cancer free! I am looking forward to December 10th, when I will be a two year survivor!

Anne and Shelly came and surprised me at the race! I love my Alpha Gam sisters!

The Nina and The Pinta

Last week, replicas of Columbus's ships, the Nina and the Pinta arrived in Louisville. Since Evan likes boats so much, we took him to see both of the boats. He LOVED getting on the boats and exploring. Carl and I loved to see how excited he got as he discovered new things on each boat.

Middletown Family Fun Festival and Henry's Ark

Evan and I attended the Middletown Family Fun Festival last weekend (Carl was at work.) Aunt Heather, Uncle Josh, Caleb, Jackson, Grammy, and Granddaddy were there too! Evan really enjoyed the parade. He got to see some cool cars, floats, horses, fire trucks and much more! Evan's favorite parts of the festival included getting a balloon and getting to see the fire truck!

Grammy held Evan so that he could see the parade.

Aunt Heather, Caleb, Uncle Josh, and Jackson enjoyed the parade.

Evan LOVED seeing the firetruck ans wearing his firefighter hat!

Carl was able to get a little time off from work on Sunday, so we took Evan to Henry's Ark. We have been before, but this visit was the best yet! There were so many animals out in the yard and we were able to feed and pet many of them. We saw many farm animals such as pigs, ducks, chickens, and goats and we also saw some more exotic animals, such as zebras, camels, a porcupine, and some reindeer! Evan wanted to feed the animals, but was a bit timid. He did try a few times though!

Here are some pictures from Henry's Ark!

Evan the Builder

Evan loves building towers. He will build a tower with just about anything, including cans of soup and rolls of toilet paper! While playing the other day, he built his tallest tower yet. It was bigger than him! Perhaps he will grow up to be an architect!
