Florida Vacation for Mommy and Daddy

Carl and I recently took a trip to Florida. It was nice to have "us" time and time to relax and unwind. We walked on the beach each morning and enjoyed the sunset each evening. We went sailing and had lunch on the pier in St. Petersburg. The weather was nice and sunny each day. We had such a good time!

Evan stayed with his Granddaddy and Grammy for two days and then he stayed with his Grandpa and Bonnie Mom for two days. He had a lot of fun and got very spoiled! =) Carl and I missed Evan, but knowing he was also having fun made it a bit easier to be away from him.

This was the view from our room.

Still in love!

Halloween Fun

It seems like we celebrated Halloween for weeks this year! We were very busy, but we had a great time! We started by going to Aunt Linda's house for her annual Halloween party. Evan had a great time in the bouncers and running around the yard with Jackson and Caleb. He also enjoyed eating the cookies Aunt Heather made. Carl and I took Evan into the haunted barn. Evan was not scared, but he was not a fan either. We had a great time, but unfortunately, I forgot to take any pictures!

Our neighborhood also had a Halloween party. Evan LOVED it! He got to decorate a pumpkin, go down the inflatable slide, play in the bouncer, dance, ride in a horse drawn carriage, and walk in the costume parade. My favorite part of the party was watching Evan dance. He was SO funny!

Walking to the party!

Evan decoarted his own pumpkin.

Jumping in the bouncer!

Dancing!

Our church had a Halloween party too. Evan enjoyed seeing Jackson and Caleb. He had a great time playing games in the gym and of course, bouncing in the bouncers. He also enjoyed getting candy during trunk-r-treat.

Ready to play!

Playing the bean bag game.

Evan loved this funny game where he got to hammer golf tees into styrofoam. It sounds silly, but really liked it!

Evan liked playing with the remote controlled mice.

We ended our celebrating on Halloween night. Carl, Evan, and I had some friends over for dinner and a small party. We all had a great time! The kids bounced in the bouncer, went trick-or-treating, and played in the basement. I enjoyed seeing all of the kids in their costumes, even though most kids only wore them a short time.

Granddaddy is one of Evan's favorite people! They are good buddies!

Daddy's Little Helper

Last weekend Carl was raking leaves in our front yard. As usual, Evan wanted to help. Carl got him a small rake and he helped Carl rake the leaves and place them in the yard waste container. It was so much fun for me to watch the two of them together!

Picture Time!

Evan's Grandpa came over for his fall photo shoot today. We actually got a few good pictures, despite the fact that Evan did not want to sit still or pose! Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

Huber's

Carl, Evan, and I joined my Young Survivor's group and their families for a fun filled day at Huber's. Evan enjoyed picking his own pumpkin, riding down the giant slide, feeding the animals, and seeing all of the tractors. Of course, Carl and I had a great time too!

Evan was happy to get to "drive" another tractor!

Riding out to the pumpkin patch.

Evan was so excited to see the pumpkins, that he kept looking at them, and not the camera!

Look! A green pumpkin!

I want this pumpkin!

Look! Pumpkins!

I LOVE pumpkins.

Evan enjoyed feeding the goats and pigs.

Halloween Party at The Louisville Zoo

We took Evan to the Halloween party at the zoo last Sunday. He had a blast! He enjoyed walking around and giving each of the characters a high 5, sliding down the giant slide, riding the carousel, and trick-or-treating. (He had his first piece of candy that night and now he is hooked!) Evan's Grandpa and Bonnie Mom went with us. I think they had about as much fun as Evan did! Of course, Carl and I had a great time too. We love Evan so much and we always enjoy our time with him.

Evan liked the candy and was eager to go and get more in his bucket!

Race for The Cure 2009

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was held in Louisville last Saturday. I had a great time with my friends and family! I want to thank everyone that donated and walked. Our team was able to raise over $2000 this year! WOW! I also want to thank my sister, Heather, who organized our team. I am so grateful for her love and support!

I am so happy that I am feeling good and that I am cancer free! I am looking forward to December 10th, when I will be a two year survivor!

Anne and Shelly came and surprised me at the race! I love my Alpha Gam sisters!
