Waking Up is Hard to Do!
I took these pictures of Evan this summer. He cracks me up with his morning routine. Each morning I take him out of his crib with his rag in hand and I immediately have to head to the kitchen where I pour him a cup of milk. It is the same procedure each and every day. I thought these pictures were cute and wanted to save this fun memory!

Fun on the Farm
My sister recently heard about a farm where you can buy locally grown fruits and vegetables. Earlier this week Grammy, Granddaddy, Aunt Heather, Caleb, Jackson, Evan and I headed off to Gallrein Farm for some good food and fun!
Evan LOVES tractors!

Jackson shows Evan another tractor.

Evan wanted to drive the tractor!

Evan liked the animals at the petting zoo, but he let Granddaddy feed the animals for him.

Caleb and Evan had fun!

Evan had so much fun that he fell asleep on the way home!

Just Like Daddy
Carl installed a new ceiling fan in our bedroom last weekend. Evan watched for awhile and then decided that he wanted to help! He went to Carl's toolbox and found a screwdriver and held it up towards the fan. Carl picked him up and let him "help." It was SO cute! Evan wants to be just like Daddy!
"Let's see...where is the screwdriver?"

"Here it is!"

"I will help you Daddy!"

"We did it!"

4th of July
The weather for the 4th of July was awful this year. It rained for most of the day! Many of the fun things that our neighborhood had planned, such as the bouncers and the parade, were cancelled. (We were fortunate that it did stop raining long enough for the fireworks that night.) Although the weather was bad, we still had a lot of fun with our friends and family!
Here are some pictures of some of our friends and family that were able to join us for our 4th of July celebration.

Jackson and Celab (This the only picture I have taken of Jackson and Caleb where they are both looking at the camera. Now I need to try to get a picture of all three of the boys looking at the camera!)

Ashley, Travis, and Trevor

Evan LOVES his Granddaddy!

Although the parade was cancelled, we had our own parade in the garage, where it was dry. Caleb, Evan, and Trevor had a great time. (Jackson was not interested at all. Maybe next year!)
Evan is ready to start the parade!

Caleb enjoys his ride!

Evan and Trevor love being in the "parade!"

Jackson says, "I do not want my picture taken and I do not want to be in the parade!"

We went on a walk to check out all of the fun stuff, but it was all rained out. We did get a family picture though. (Evan is blowing kisses!)

We were worried that there would not be firewords because of the rain. Uncle Ron brought some firecrackers for us. Isn't he nice?
Evan liked the firecrackers!

Although Evan was tired, he stayed up to see the real fireworks.

Evan liked the glow necklaces more than the fireworks!

Happy 4th of July!

Jamaica
Last week we travelled to Jamaica for Carl's sister's wedding. Evan was a really good traveller! He stayed happy for the majority of both travel days, which were each about 18 hours long. I was amazed at how well he did!
Evan on his first airplane ride.

Evan loved going to the beach. He enjoyed playing in the water and playing in the sand. He also enjoyed the pool as well.
This is Evan at the beach for the first time. (It was 6:30 in the morning!) He was a bit timid at first, but he quickly figured out that the ocean is pretty cool!

Evan loves bugs, so I could have guessed that he would like the crabs. Here is Evan looking at the crabs for the first time.

Fun in the pool!

This was our favorite beach at the resort. Evan loved playing in the shallow water there.

We liked this beach so much that we even played there at sunset! Evan really liked playing in the soft sand at this beach. He liked digging in the sand and trying to make sand castles.

Rachel and Teddy asked Evan to be the ring bearer for their wedding. Evan was SO cute! He tossed the ring to Teddy as he walked down the aisle! Evan finally handed it to him with help from Carl. Rachel and Teddy had a beautiful wedding ceremony on the beach. We were happy to be there to help them celebrate their special day!
Congratulations Rachel and Teddy!

Father's Day
We celebrated Father's Day two times this year. We celebrated Father's Day with my dad the Tuesday before Father's Day, since my parents were going to be travelling on Father's Day. We had dinner at our house. All three boys (Evan, Jackson, and Caleb) had fun, especially when they made a mess with the tissue paper from the gifts!

Here is my dad with his little girls and Evan.

On Father's Day, we celebrated with Carl's dad and with Carl. Carl loved getting his present from Evan, which was finger paint art. Carl also enjoyed playing golf with his friend, Ron. We all ate dinner at Los Aztecas that night (Carl's FAVORITE restaurant). Unfortunately, we all started to get sick that evening. I am hopeful that we will all be better by Saturday morning, when we leave for Rachel and Teddy's wedding in Jamiaca.
Here is Evan after he painted for Daddy.

Here is Carl with Evan and his dad. (Evan is supposed to call Carl's dad Grandpa, but when he says it, it sounds like "Cra Pa." It is so funny.
