Last week our kindergarten class went on our second field trip. Although we usually go on field trips at the end of the week when I am not working, this one was scheduled on a Monday, so I got to go on the field trip as a teacher! I had a great time and so did Evan. We went to Stage One to see "The House at Pooh Corner." The kids really enjoyed the play and they were SO well behaved! I was so proud of them!
Once the play was over, we headed to Waterfront Park for a picnic lunch and some play time! The weather was gorgeous and after lunch we walked across the new bridge. The kids really liked going up on the bridge and seeing the boats, construction equipment, tall buildings, etc. After our walk, we headed to the playground for more fun and exercise. Once again, the kids were really well behaved and I was so proud! We had a really successful trip and everyone had a great time.

Halloween Party at the Zoo
We went to the zoo's annual Halloween party last week with Bonnie Mom, Grandpa, Aunt Rachel, Uncle Teddy, and Caroline. Despite getting a pretty late start, we all had a good time. Evan was really into getting his picture taken this year, which I thought was adorable. Preston LOVED the candy and despite being really tired, was pretty happy as long as he was eating some of the candy he received! Both boys were super cute in their costumes and I think we had the most adorable little puppy and the coolest Ninja Turtle in the whole zoo!
Evan loves his Ninja Turtle costume and happily posed for lots of pictures!
Preston's puupy tailed wagged when he walked! It was adorable!
My happy little puppy!
"Let's get some candy!"
Evan wanted to get his picture taken throughout the zoo! Of course, I was happy to take LOTS of pictures!
"Yummy!"
Here is Caroline, the little lady bug! (I was not able to get a picture of her smiling at the zoo, so I got one that Rachel took before they left to meet us at the zoo.)

Preston was SO excited to get into his puppy costume! He loved walking around/running around in his costume and even sat/stood still long enough to let us take a few pictures!

Race for the Cure 2013 and Owensboro Fun
The race was held at Slugger Field, which I really liked. There was lots of free parking, indoor restrooms, tons of free food, and it was easy to find your way around. Carl, Evan, Preston, and I met up with Mom, Heather, Jackson, and Caleb. The little boys had fun eating, dancing, and listening to the marching band. There was tons of room for the kids to run and play, which was great. Before long, it was time to race! Carl ran the 5 k race, while Heather, the boys and I walked the 1 mile family race. It was a beautiful morning and we all enjoyed the race. Well, Preston was o.k with the race. He was tired and just a tad fussy. He still had fun though!
When the race was over, we visited a lot of the booths. They boys LOVED getting "treasure!" We met up with mom and she had a great surprise for me! Dad was there! He finished his commitment at church and came out to see us. I was SO happy! We also met up with Jessica, who raced on our team and came in 4th for the women racers. Way to go, Jessica!
Preston became pretty fussy once he finished his strawberry fruit bar, so we headed back to the van and began our trip to Owensboro to see the Congletons!
I had fun taking pictures before the race! I am so thankful to have such a supportive family!
Preston was MUCH happier once he got this special treat. He was also a lot messier! =)
Here are a few pictures that were taken after the race.
I LOVED that my dad came to the race, even though he could not race!
I mentioned that Preston was pretty tired at the race. Here is a picture of him on the way to Owensboro. He fell asleep about 5 minutes into the trip and did not wake up until we we just about 10 minutes away from John and Terri's house!
The trip to Owensboro was good. Preston slept and Evan barely fussed! I count that as a success!
Once we got there, Evan bolted into the house to see Levi! The rest of us followed, but we just saw Terri, as all the big boys were already upstairs playing! After settling in, we had lunch and then headed to Trunnell's Farm. We had a great time petting the animals, going down the giant slide, playing in the corn, going on a hay ride, picking pumpkins, etc. It was a nice day and the farm was not too crowded, which was nice!
Of course, after a couple of hours, Preston needed a nap, so we went back to the Congleton's house. Preston took a nap, as did David, Luke and Adam. We spent the afternoon watching the boys play and then had dinner. The rest of the night was pretty laid back and we all just sat around talking and the boys played and watched a movie. It was really relaxing and a lot of fun!
After breakfast the next day, we headed to an AMAZING park. All the boys played, watched the barges go by, looked at the really cool fountains, etc. It was a super fun morning! We were sad that we had to get back home and that our visit had to end, but we are looking forward to seeing our friends again in December, if not sometime sooner!
Both Evan and Preston liked playing in the corn, but Preston LOVED it and could have played in it all day!
Preston liked the hay maze, but he found that climbing the hay was just as much fun as walking in the maze.
The giant slide was lots of fun! Preston went down at least 4 times with us and Evan went down on his own about 10 times!
All of the boys liked the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch!
Preston really liked the tractor, which is what he was looking at when we tried to take our family picture!
Preston LOVES pumpkins, so the pumpkin patch was really fun for him!
Evan chose a HUGE green pumpkin this year. The one we ended up taking home was even bigger than this one and weighed 34 pounds!
The farm was so pretty! I loved it!
Evan took Preston for a ride in the wagon, which he really enjoyed.
Levi and Evan had lots of fun together! Of course, they always do!
All of the boys had fun at the park!
